Aline
Cochran
Sep 15, 1928 — Feb 20, 2025
Danville
Aline Hill Cochran, 96, of Danville passed away at Landmark Nursing Home on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Born September 15, 1928, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Arch Burton Hill and Lillie Mae Peavyhouse Hill. She was the widow of Burnel Cloyd Cochran.
She is survived by three daughters: Eva Mae Cochran and Ruby Charlene (Joe) Wipfel, both of Danville, Kentucky and Bonnie Lou (Mark) Pfuntner of Nunda, New York. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Francis Cochran; sisters: Willie Florence Hill, Ruth Singleton, and Martha Raney; and brothers, Ernest and James Hill.
She only had a third-grade education but in her late fifties decided to go back to school and with help learned how to read and write better. She operated a mini family care home from 1971 to 1989. Over the years she cared for several patients from the state hospital in her home to help them adjust to society. She loved reading her Bible and learning to spell new words.
Aline loved to sew and over the years made many quilts all by hand and as she aged would make small items and give them to people in the community. She loved her family and loved anything that bloomed. She loved watching the birds and squirrels and her faith was unshakable.
Aline was a member of Centenary Methodist Church. She never learned to drive or operate a computer and sometimes had trouble understanding all the changes around her. She believed in the best of everyone she met.
