Obituary

Albert Lee Wall, 88, of Frankfort, KY passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at his home. Albert was an Army veteran serving in Fort Hood, Texas and began his post-military career as a teacher. While teaching, he enjoyed coaching sports and coached basketball, baseball, and golf. Later in his career, he moved into administration and was Superintendent of the Frankfort City Schools. He retired in 1991 from a 35-year career in education. After retirement, he spent time traveling and enjoyed winters golfing at his snowbird home in Sebring, Florida. He lived for the Lord and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for more than 50 years serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Lori (David) Lush; granddaughters, McKenna and Julianne Lush; sister, Joyce (Herb) Austin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Noel and Viola Peck Wall and his siblings: Ollie (Almeda) Wall, Russell (Mable) Wall, Carrie (Gene) Sheene, Bobby (Barbara) Wall, Jerry (Sreeta) Wall, Charles (Janice) Wall, and Marvin Wall. Visitation will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Frankfort on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm followed immediately by a Memorial Service and Reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care (1733 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40504; bgcarenav.org). W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
